We are looking for a dedicated professional who thrives in knowledge-rich environments and understands both traditional and modern library management systems. The ideal candidate will contribute to the preservation, accessibility, and promotion of information resources at Bait Al Zubair.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Library & Information Science or a closely related field.
- 3–4 years of professional experience in a library, academic, or cultural institution.
- Familiarity with classification systems such as Dewey Decimal, Afaq Al Marifa, or Library of Congress standards.
- Experience with digital resources and Integrated Library Systems (ILS) platforms.
- Bilingual fluency in Arabic and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and a service-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Catalog and classify library materials according to international standards.
- Assist patrons in locating and using library resources.
- Manage and maintain both print and digital collections.
- Promote access to information through outreach and educational initiatives.
- Collaborate with academic and cultural staff to enhance library services.
- Stay updated on new technologies and trends in library science.
