Senior Instrument Technician – Oman (Oil & Gas Projects)
Educational Qualification & Experience Required:
- To qualify for this role, candidates must possess a Diploma or ITI in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of 10–15 years of experience in instrument installation, calibration, loop checking, and commissioning for Oil & Gas or Industrial projects is essential.
- Applicants should have hands-on experience with instrumentation equipment installation, cable termination, and field instrument testing.
- Strong knowledge of ISA / IEC standards and Oil & Gas project specifications is vital.
- Candidates with prior PDO project experience will be given preference.
- The company values professionals who demonstrate strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) compliance.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
As a Senior Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for executing and supervising instrument installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning activities as per approved drawings and project requirements. You will review technical drawings, identify discrepancies, and coordinate with engineers to ensure smooth and timely project completion.
Additional duties include preparing material take-offs, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring that all installations meet quality and safety standards. You will also coordinate with client representatives for inspections, testing approvals, and project validation. Supporting pre-commissioning and commissioning activities will also be part of your role.
