Every year, over 10,000 government job aspirants fight to be qualified by the Public Service Commission board in India which is widely known as an alternative for civil and UPSC exams. The Public Service Commission in India hosts the PSC exams responsible for the recruitment of candidates for the gazetted, non-gazetted, military, engineering, medical, and civil job profiles in India.
The Public Service Commission board is constituted under the Union Public Service Commission and State Public Service Commission.
Union Public Service Commission
The Independent regulatory body recruits over 180 candidates for Central Government jobs in the Administrative or Police sector – IAS/IPS. The Union Public Service Commission in India employs candidates for the Group A and Group B gazetted/non-gazetted officers through the CSE, CAPF, ESE, and so on.
The UPSC CSE supervises the enlistment of over 24 positions that include IFS, IAS, IRS, IPS, and so on. The exam is scheduled to commence on the 28th of May 2023 staging preliminary and main exams followed by interview sessions
State Public Service Commission
The State Public Service Commission is a Government authority accountable for hiring candidates for the State Government employees specifically- the Group A and Group B officers pertaining to the civil fields. The State PSC board staffs employees state-wise in sectors that include Revenue, Police, Forest, Administrative, Professor, or Assistant Professor in universities.
The SPSC exams are eligible to candidates with an age limit of 21 and preferably hold the state citizenship from where they are applying. The SPSC exams are segregated into the Preliminary, main, and interview sessions.
